The accordion is used in this piece as a kind of high-speed instrument that remains in constant motion from the beginning to the end of the composition, never stopping, never taking a break. Fast chord tremolandi, siren-like tone glissandi, staccatissimo repetitions as well as rapid double trills and scale runs create a dense, wild, almost chaotic atmosphere, not unlike that of an actual highway during rush hour.
